On February 29, 2024, HomeNet Kenya marked a significant milestone with the launch of HomeNet Kenya SACCO, boasting 107 founding members. This SACCO emerges as a sustainable financial solution, empowering Home-Based Workers (HBWs) and their stakeholders towards greater financial inclusion. Jemimah Nyakongo, representing the HNK NEC and the broader membership, proudly inaugurated the SACCO, entrusting it to the newly elected HomeNet Kenya Board of Management. This gesture signifies a step towards economic empowerment and development for Kenya’s home-based workers, with aspirations for the SACCO’s prosperous future.
